This is an 8 week group designed to teach mindfulness skills to adults. The group will provide an experiential introduction to the practice of mindfulness utilizing a variety of types of meditation, daily mindfulness, and relevant metaphors and brief readings.
We often operate on “autopilot” which can lead to increased stress and general feelings of anxiety. In contrast, practicing mindfulness has been found to improve mood and sense of well-being, decrease anxiety, and improve concentration.
This is an 8 week group designed to help you accept yourself, build inner strength and compassion. This group utilizes the Mindful Self-Compassion program developed by Kristin Neff and Christopher Germer. You will learn to identify and break free from harsh self judgments and unrealistic standards to cultivate emotional well being.
