You look like you’re holding it together—but inside you feel overwhelmed, anxious, or emotionally exhausted. Your mind rarely slows down. You carry stress in your body. The past still shows up in ways that interrupt your present. You may be getting through each day, but it feels heavy—and you’re tired of doing it alone.
Many of the people I work with are high-functioning, capable, and deeply responsible. On the outside, others see strength. On the inside, they feel drained, disconnected, or stuck in survival mode. They’re used to being the one who keeps going, keeps caring, keeps managing—but they rarely feel grounded or at ease.
If this sounds familiar, therapy can be a place where you finally get to exhale.
Our work together creates space for your nervous system to settle—where you don’t have to rush, perform, or hold everything in. We move at a pace that feels safe and manageable. You stay in control of the process. You won’t be pushed to relive painful experiences before you’re ready. Instead, we focus on helping you feel steady enough to gently process what you’ve been carrying.
I specialize in trauma-informed therapy that helps you heal without feeling overwhelmed. Using approaches like Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Brainspotting, mindfulness, and practical coping tools, we work to:
• Reduce anxiety and emotional flooding
• Process painful memories in a contained, supported way
• Strengthen your ability to regulate emotions
• Help you feel more present in your daily life
• Release patterns that keep you feeling stuck
Rather than staying trapped in the past, the goal is to help you feel more grounded, more empowered, and more connected to yourself in the present moment.
Therapy with me is collaborative, steady, and deeply respectful of your pace. Clients often share that our work feels grounding and validating—that they can finally put words to what they’ve been carrying and begin to feel relief.
Healing doesn’t mean erasing what you’ve been through. It means expanding your capacity to live alongside your experiences without being controlled by them. It means feeling calmer in your body, clearer in your mind, and more able to move forward with intention.
Reaching out for therapy can feel vulnerable—especially if you’re used to handling things on your own. But you don’t have to keep carrying this weight by yourself.
If you’re ready to feel more grounded, more supported, and more hopeful about your path forward, I warmly invite you to reach out for a consultation. We can begin, together, at a pace that feels right for you.
“Your pain is the breaking of the shell that encloses your understanding.” — Khalil Gibran
As a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I am committed to helping individuals on their journey towards healing, growth, and empowerment. With specialized training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), trauma-informed care, and a profound belief in the power of strengths-based approaches, I strive to create a safe and supportive therapeutic environment where you can thrive.
I understand that life's challenges can sometimes feel overwhelming, leading to emotional distress and uncertainty. In my practice, I embrace a trauma-informed lens, recognizing that past experiences can shape the present. I believe that everyone has inherent strengths and resilience, and my therapeutic approach is rooted in highlighting and harnessing these strengths to facilitate positive change.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a cornerstone of my practice. DBT offers effective tools for managing intense emotions, improving relationships, and achieving a balanced life. Whether you're struggling with mood disorders, anxiety, stress or interpersonal conflicts, I am here to guide you through the process of building emotional regulation, mindfulness, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness.
Together, we will work to process past trauma and build resilience for a brighter future. Your journey towards self-discovery and healing is unique, and I am here to walk alongside you every step of the way.
I am a licensed professional counselor who specializes in person-centered therapy and mindfulness techniques informed by my own experience with Zen meditation. I have experience serving a wide variety of clients from all walks of life, with diagnoses ranging from depression, to autism spectrum disorder, to schizophrenia. My goal is to see the person, and not the diagnosis, and to empower each of my clients to take the lead and find their own unique paths to healing.
Person-centered therapy is free and open-ended, with a focus on creating a strong, healing relationship between therapist and client. The focus will not be on worksheets and homework, but rather on self-exploration, deepening your awareness of yourself and your emotions. Mindfulness meditation is used to guide you along this journey, rather than simply as a means of relaxation.
I have worked with individuals with extensive, complex trauma, as well as those in the LGBTQIA+ community. I have also worked with individuals from various faith communities. My office is a safe and nonjudgmental space where you can come exactly as you are. I look forward to meeting you!
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 25 years of experience in behavioral health.
My training includes Gestalt Therapy as well as Accelerated Resolution Therapy, and I utilize many other modalities, depending on client needs. Using a holistic, strength based and person centered approach, I work with clients to create a “tool kit” of coping skills and strategies that can be used daily in times of trauma, stress, anxiety, depression, fear, interpersonal relationship issues, and life transitions. Every day, we make decisions that can lift us up, or drag us down. With a BODY MIND and SPIRIT slant, we will build a personalized tool kit, to help you make positive changes in your life.
My approach is direct, warm, compassionate, and open minded. I have worked extensively with the LGBTQAI+ community, trauma, people in transition, setting boundaries, and love to help clients set goals and seek meaning in their lives. I work with people ages 14+, using a lot of creativity in my sessions such as writing, art, drawing and collage. I was a studio artist at Goggleworks Center for the Arts in Reading PA for ten years. My experience ranges from residential work with chronically mentally ill adults, running a domestic violence program, and community mental health, conducting both individual and group therapies. I also do a lot of psychoeducation with clients, having taught over 50 university level psychology classes both in person and online. I have run workshops for small groups and large, focusing on mindfulness, creativity and healing.
I am seeing clients in person and also for telehealth (only in PA.) Currently I am accepting self pay clients, as well as Capital Blue Cross, Highmark Blue Shield, and Medicare insurances.
